⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’ve had a great experience with this office over the years, first with Dr. Peters and now with Dr. Luu. The transition has been smooth, and the level of care has remained excellent. Dr. Luu is knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in his patients—he took the time to explain everything clearly and even shared thoughtful recommendations beyond just eye care. I’ve really enjoyed my experience here and highly recommend this practice.

I was referred to Wilmington eye Care by another place that did not take my insurance (Medi-Cal). I was a little worried about the reviews but beggars can't be choosers and it's close by. I was also overdue for an eye exam. I had no issues with the staff, everyone was very friendly. They do try to sell you some extra eye exam thing (like $25 I think) but I opted out. I had a horrible experience at my last eye doctor that ran a bunch of unnecessary tests. The assistant ran a few of the tests and I had no major issues. Then I saw Dr. Lu who did my eye exam and he was very nice and patient. He's very young but did the exam efficiently and showed me some frames that were covered by my insurance. He listens to any concerns and questions you may have. My glasses came out nice and the prescription is helping. The only thing to note about the clinic is that it is in a sketchy area and a homeless junkie did catcall me as I was trying to find parking lol

This is my third year coming to this practice and I cannot emphasize how well the staff ensures that you are informed about your eye health. As I did my annual eye exam, the doctor ensured I understood every step of the process and explained in detail the different findings regarding my eyesight.

Front desk staff was kind, were able to fit me in even though I did not have an appointment. Dr. Lu was very professional, and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for great, quick, knowledgeable, and diligent service. (Just call and make an appointment, or see if they accept walk-ins first :))
